Let’s Grow Together!

Help Shape the Future of Native Plant Advocacy — Join the Founding Board of Wild Ones Olympic Peninsula Chapter!
Wild Ones knows that strong communities—and thriving ecosystems—depend on diversity. As we work to charter the Wild Ones Olympic Peninsula Chapter, we’re seeking a founding board of directors that reflects the full range of experiences, identities, and voices in our region.

We warmly invite individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels to consider board leadership. Whether you’re a longtime native plant advocate or just beginning your journey, your voice is needed here.

We especially welcome interest from:
• People of color
• Indigenous community members
• LGBTQ+ individuals
• Multilingual and multicultural individuals
• People with diverse abilities and access needs
• Youth and rising leaders looking to grow their impact
• First-time board members and emerging professionals

You don’t need board experience or botanical expertise; we’re looking for people who are curious, committed, and community oriented. We’ll provide guidance and support along the way.

Open founding board roles include:
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• Membership Chair

By joining the board, you’ll help:
• Shape the direction and priorities of a new Wild Ones chapter
• Ensure that native plant advocacy reflects and serves your community
• Create inclusive, educational spaces where everyone can grow
• Build leadership skills and relationships that last

This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it’s a chance to lead a movement rooted in restoration, equity, and hope.
